EasyJournal does not collect your data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no behavioural tracking and no third-party software development kit in the app. Nobody working on EasyJournal can see what you write or say.

Your voice is turned into text on your device by Apple's speech model. Tidying, titles, tags, recaps and answers come from Apple's on-device language model. None of it is sent to a server, EasyJournal's or anyone else's. The only thing your device downloads is Apple's speech model for each language you use.

Where your information is kept

Entries, recordings and photos are kept on your device. If your device is signed in to iCloud and Sync with iCloud is on, they are also kept in your own private iCloud database, so they appear on your other devices. Apple holds that copy under your iCloud account. EasyJournal has no server and holds no copy. With Advanced Data Protection turned on in your iCloud settings, the iCloud copy is end-to-end encrypted.

What is stored

Each entry holds the words you said or typed, the exact transcript, the recording if you keep recordings, any photos you add, and the title, tags, mood, people and places that you or Plus give it. Your settings and reminder time are stored on the device. EasyJournal uses the microphone only while you record and your photos only when you pick them. It never reads your contacts or your location, and it writes nothing to Apple Health.

Payment

Purchases are handled by Apple. EasyJournal never sees your payment details. The app uses verified purchase records to check subscription access.

Deleting everything

Settings in EasyJournal has a "Delete all data" control that removes every entry, recording, photo and recap from your device and, through sync, from your iCloud. Deleting the app also removes its local data. Export everything, also in Settings, gives you a copy first if you want one.

Who is responsible

The controller of any personal data described here is Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti, a sole trader, 38 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv-Jaffa 6332512, Israel. You can ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or complain, by writing to easyjournal@humenhuk.com. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the data protection authority where you live.
